About the Project

The Mind Over Screens project aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of youth workers, trainers, and educators in the areas of social media influence, media literacy, and digital habits, and equip them with the resources for providing young people the complex workshops in the topic and facilitating dialogue and discussion about the influence of digital world. Furthermore, the project wants to raise awareness among young people about the social media influence, media literacy and healthy digital habits. 

This will be achieved through the collaborative efforts of six international partners, who will work together on creation of a comprehensive Training Curriculum module, Handbook, podcast, set of interactive tools and games, Online Resource Hub and social campaign.

Main aims

Main Aims

1. To raise the capacity of organisations working with young people outside formal learning in the topic of social media influence, media literacy, digital habits, and connected to their well-being.

2. To support the development of youth work in project’s partnership countries by establishing cooperation and network for the future projects’ development.

3. To contribute to the promotion and implementation of the EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027), in particular to the Youth Goals (1, 4, 5, 8).

Specific Objectives

  1. To provide youth workers with the knowledge and skills to effectively educate and support youth on their social media use and media literacy.
  2. To empower youth workers to facilitate discussions and activities that promote healthy technology use habits among youth.
  3. To equip youth workers with tools and skills to help youth critically evaluate the credibility of information they find online and protect their privacy and security.
  4. To create opportunities for youth workers to collaborate and share best practices for addressing social media use, digital habits and media literacy among youth.
  5. To design and implement engaging and participant-centred methods and activities that foster the involvement of young people with fewer opportunities.
  6. To educate youth on the influence of social media use and help them develop healthy digital habits.
  7. To promote media literacy skills among youth and help them learn how to evaluate the credibility of online information, recognize fake news and misinformation, and protect their privacy and security.
  8. To raise awareness of the impact of social media on mental health and encourage youth to take steps to protect their well-being.

Target Groups

Youth workers, trainers, educators, and teachers.

Young people aged 14 -25, with special attention to those with fewer opportunities.

Youth organisations and community groups, parents and caregivers, and school administrators and education professionals, through awareness campaigns, campaigns, dissemination efforts, and invitations to project events.

Local Training of Trainers Report

This report provides detailed implementation overviews for each partner country: Italy, Finland, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Montenegro.

 

It covers trainer selection, participant profiles, curriculum delivery and certification.

It also presents country-specific evaluation findings, analysing participants’ skill development, satisfaction with the training, and key recommendations.

 

Finally, it compares results across all participating countries and concludes with overall findings and recommendations for improving future training activities.

Lessons Learned Report

The Lessons Learned Report shares key insights from the full project journey. It reflects on what works well, the challenges faced, and what the partnership learns while developing and implementing the project activities.
