Local ToT Albania

Between 24 and 28 March 2026, Tirana hosted the Local Training of Trainers under the “Mind Over Screens” project, bringing together 28 participants to build skills in digital wellbeing education.

The training was led by two mentors with complementary roles: Migena introduced the conceptual framework, the project’s six-module curriculum, and handbook, while Ervis guided participants through practical, scenario-based exercises. Delivered in person, mainly at INOSPACE Tirana with two further sessions held in high schools, the programme equipped participants with reusable tools such as scenario cards, educational games, and digital wellbeing simulations.  Attendance stayed well above the required minimum, and interest grew quickly afterwards, leading to additional sessions through April and May.

The impact was also measured directly. Pre- and post-training evaluations, completed by all 28 participants, showed average confidence across seven competencies rising from 2.77 to 4.32, with high-confidence responses jumping from 6.6% to 90.8%. The largest gain was in participants’ confidence as trainers themselves, from 2.79 to 4.57, and overall satisfaction averaged 4.50 out of 5. Priority areas for future application included online safety (92.9%), digital footprint management (85.7%), and critical media consumption (82.1%).

All participants received a certificate of participation, with optional micro-credentials available. The real outcome, though, is a growing group of educators now ready to bring digital wellbeing training back into their own schools and communities.
